The Galapagos Islands, known worldwide, are the product of successive eruptions of submarine volcanoes that continue to happen today. How to travel to the Galapagos Islands?

Seymour Airport is the one that receives the most flights, due to its position more in the middle of the archipelago compared to the other airport. From that point, it is possible to access free transports that transport to the small port, from where it is possible to embark towards Puerto Ayora, in Santa Cruz Island, since in this place most of the hostels and hotels are found. From San Cristobal Airport, you can take taxis or walk (the distance is not too much) to Puerto Baquerizo Moreno, where you can find almost all the hotel infrastructure.

Floreana Island: It is located 60 kms to the east of the Espanola Island. Floreana is well known for its attractive history of pirates, whalers, and settlers. Here you can observe between December and May pink flamingos and nesting sea turtles. Also you can find a small population of galapagos penguins. Floreana also known as Santa Maria Island has approximately 150 habitants and is one of the four islands populated in Galapagos. His access port is Prieta Beach. Leon Dormido on San Cristobal Island: A place also called Kicker Rock; correspond to two huge rock formations of lava, which rise for more than 100 meters over the ocean, which can be from the ocean from Puerto Baquerizo. Its curious name comes from similarity to a sleeping sea lion, to see them from a distance. Sullivan Bay: Is located to the southeast of the Santiago Island. Here you can see interesting lava formations, which called the attention of scholars and scientists around the world. Sullivan Bay enjoys a height of 114 meters above sea level, where you can observe marine and terrestrial birds, a colony of sea lions and iguanas. Several plants stand out of the rocks. At Sullivan Bay there is a road of a kilometer and a half long. In this peculiar island you can enjoy swimming and make snorkeling from the edge of the beach.
