Picking a Galapagos Cruise
There are several factors to take in to consideration when choosing a Galapagos Cruise: Boat size: a smaller vessel provides a more romantic experience while a bigger ship moves less in the water for people prone to sea sickness. A catamaran will offer the advantages of both alternatives.

Sail boat vs motor ship: all boats need to use their motor to maneuver between visitor sites, therefore a sailboat may be more quaint, but you are going to be using the motor most any time you are transferring.
Cost: you get what you cover in the Galapagos in the kind of a more comfortable boat and higher quality guides.
Sierra Negra Volcano: Hiking enthusiasts are sure to adore the chance of the steep ascent to the rim of Sierra Negra Volcano. The increase up takes around two hours, with fantastic vistas all around. Horse riding provides a different perspective of the beautiful area.
Moreno Point and Elizabeth Bay: Heading a little farther north, Moreno Point offers terrific dinghy excursions, complete with terrific bird-spotting opportunities. As an alternative, you can enjoy scenic hiking through the lava rocks and search for whale-tip sharks in the oceans. Climb to a small dinghy to explore the small islets off the shore of Elizabeth Bay, seeing unique mangrove woods, observing penguins along with blue-footed boobies on the rocky rocks, and getting near sea lions and various fish species with some snorkeling adventures.
Urbina Bay – Sitting at the bottom of Alcedo Volcano, the land round Urbina Bay rose significantly from the 1950s, resulting in much stranded aquatic life. Now, you are able to drift across areas of land that were once at the base of the ocean, marveling at dried coral and shells. Snorkeling enables you to explore the fascinating underwater world, seeing schools of fish, rays, and turtles. Hawks fly overhead, and the sandy beaches are rife with the large leathery-looking land iguanas and, in the wet season, giant tortoises.
Bolivar Channel: Lots of Isabela island cruises sail through the Bolivar Channel, a station that separates Isabela Island and the neighboring Fernandina Island. The coldest waters in the Galapagos area, it’s common to see whales and dolphins swimming near to your cruise ship.
Vicente Roca Point: At the north of Isabela Island, Vicente Roca Point is a top place for boating and snorkeling. The twin coves shelter a variety of odd species, such as sunfish, seahorses, and puffer fish. Bird lovers will not be disappointed either, with terns, blue-footed boobies, and penguins, amongst others.
Galapagos wildlife experiences are plentiful on excursions of Isabela Island, and you are guaranteed to be thrilled if you decide on a Galapagos small ship cruise, a small luxury yacht, a dinghy excursion, or something else completely.
Are there some immunizations recommended?
To the Galapagos Islands there are no required immunizations. If you, however, intend to spend more time in Ecuador, particularly in the jungle, immunization is highly recommended. As this changes from time to time please consult the local health office (or even the Institute for Tropical Diseases) a couple weeks in advance of your trip.
Can we need to swap some money before we journey to Ecuador or once in the country?
Not if you have US dollars. Just be sure that you bring cash bills in good shape with you. Should they have tears in them, they’re very likely to be refused.
