Admire the Basilica Church. Walking through Quito´s colonial streets we admire its breathtaking squares and rich churches. Stop at Independence Square or Plaza Grande, Cathedral, Government's Palace, the archiepiscopal palace. Along very narrow streets we will continue to Compañía Church to appreciate its unique baroque architecture, visit to Sagrario Church and San Francisco church and square. Transportation to El Panecillo, a spectacular statue located at the peak of a steep hill that offers visitors views of Quito and the Pichincha.
If the skies are clear, we will be able to admire the snow-capped volcano summits of Cotopaxi,Cayambe, and Antisana. Later we will travel to the "Mitad Del Mundo" just north of Quito, a place where the equatorial line divides the world into two hemispheres. In the 18th century, they declared this place to be precise location of the equatorial line, and a monument stands on that line today. Within this monument there is a museum in which you can find distinct relics from diverse Ecuadorian cultures.
